This theme is only for self-hosted WordPress Blogs, and not for free WordPress.com Blogs.

Manuran Theme Instructions

The Manuran theme is easy to use, ALL you need to do is make sure you follow these instructions carefully Here there are:

1) Upload

Upload the “manuran” folder using your FTP program to your WordPress themes folder, under wp-content/themes

Upload the files related-posts.php using your FTP program to your WordPress plugins folder, under wp-content/plugins

If you don’t have an FTP program, you can download FileZilla for free here. If you don’t know how to use an FTP program, here’s a free tutorial.

2) Set Permissions

You’ll need to set the file permission to “766” for the following files:

id-adschannel.php

id-publisher.php

id-blogcatalog.php

id-mybloglog.php

footer.php

footernavi.php

navigation.php

welcome.php

(or whatever do You want )

In your FTP program, right click on the files and select “File Attributes”.

Then set the file permissions to 766 and click “OK”:

3) Get Your Adsense Publisher ID

If you don’t have an Adsense account, you can apply for one here. Log in to your account, and click on “My Account” where you’ll see your Publisher ID (numbers).

4) Get Your BlogCatalog ID and Add me as Your Friend

Make sure that you have a BlogCatalog ID, or you can get a new one here. Free SignUp!

And then, if You was registered, login and click create widgets on your blogcatalog dashboard right sidebar. Look at the code below. You need to copy Your blog ID to “id-blogcatalog.php”. Remember that each blog you list will have a different ID.

5) Sign-up for MyBlogLog and Get Your ID

MyBlogLog.com is a great way to build buzz about your blog and get loyal traffic. The Manuran theme is already MyBlogLog-enabled, so you’ll need to create your account first if you don’t have one. Sign-up for free here.

Once you’ve set-up your blog details, make sure you copy your “Id” or write it down. Note that each blog you list will have a different ID (same as blogcatalog)

Go to Account >> Widgets and see look for our ID in the code:

6) Login to Wordpress and Edit Your Details

Login to your Wordpress account, and click on Appereance >> Themes.

You’ll see the Manuran theme here. Click on it’s screenshot to activate the theme.

Next, click on Appereance >> Editor and replace the values on these files with your own:

id-publisher.php >> Enter your Adsense Publisher ID

id-adschannel.php >> Enter your Adsense Channel ID

id-blogcatalog.php >> Enter your BlogCatalog ID

id-mybloglog.php >> Enter your MyBlogLog ID

NOTE: If you don’t see an “Update File” button anywhere on the screen, it means you didn’t do STEP 2 properly, so do it again

7) Related Posts Plugin Customization Instructions

Active this plugins on Your WordPress dashboard >> Plugins. You will notice a “Related Posts Options” tab under your “Plugins” tab in Your left sidebar. If this is your first time installing this plugin please click the link for index table setup script at the bottom of the options page. Look at the screenshot below in red rectangle:

You only need to do this once when you install the plugin for the first time. You can adjust the setting to determine how many related articles are shown.

8) Create Your Own Navigation

Just open and edit “navigation.php” in your manuran theme’s folder, and see the codes. You can link to internal Wordpress pages, archives, posts, or even to a totally different site!

How simple it is. Isn’t right?

9) Create Your Own Header

You can use the default header I’ve provided (images/wallet.gif), but we strongly encourage you to create your own header image to these specifications:

Width: 960px

Height: 100px

Type & File Name: You can choose your own, but remember to changing file name on “style.css” line 50-60 (In My editor was 60 ).

Once you’ve created your header image, you can store image file in the theme’s images folder. You’ll need to set the file permission to “766” for “style.css” file to edit it (like step.2).

10) Create Your Own Welcome Message

You can edit default message. Open and write anything on “navigation.php” file in the theme’s folder. Don’t forget to save Your Hard Work
